Hi im looking at creating a wholesale site and am in need of something that functions in the following way.

I have 5 categories on the site. 3 of those categories I want anyone to be able to buy from at anytime. The remaining 2 categories I dont want anyone to be able to buy from, only have quotes submitted.

I was able to get it close in the demo, but when a customer had items from the non-purchase category it would show the view cart/checkout buttons. I'd like to disable those if items from the non-purchasable/quote only categories were in there cart.

Thanks for any insight if this is possible.

Generally speaking, I believe the best way to achieve this would be with a "Quotes on specific products" dynamic rule: https://b2bkingplugin.com/docs/quotes-on-specific-products

You could create this kind of rule and select specific categories. It would then only be possible to request a quote from these categories, but not purchase outright.

By default this feature does not hide the cart / checkout buttons. Usually the quote is requested from the cart page.

If you would like, we can help with a code snippet to hide those buttons via CSS if a quote item is in cart. For that, kindly please open a ticket with our team post-purchase and they will assist to write that for you. We would also need a link to your site / where we can see those buttons, as it can differ with each theme.

Thanks Stefan, I was able to figure it out by resetting a few template modifications that were in place and disabling the cart in the menu and moving it to another location. Works like a charm. I'lll be looking to pick up a license soon.
