Can a B2BKing parent account assign allowed product categories to each subaccount through My Account → Subaccounts, while retaining the parent’s group catalog and Company Order Approval? Is there an existing add-on or supported customization that also enforces these restrictions on direct product URLs, cart, checkout and the WooCommerce Store API?

Hi Jeroen,

Thank you for purchasing our plugin and for reaching out.

There is no direct feature for this in B2BKing at the moment - parent accounts cannot control which products their subaccounts can access. Subaccounts normally simply inherit the parent's catalog.

I think the simplest way to achieve this would be through a small custom code snippet, using the woocommerce_is_purchasable and woocommerce_variation_is_purchasable hooks. These hooks are simple and fast, with no performance drawback. They control whether a product can be purchased at all, so they would also cover direct product URLs, cart, checkout and the Store API, as the item simply cannot be added to the cart by that subaccount. Products and prices would still be visible to the subaccount, just without the ability to purchase or add to cart. If your goal is different, for example hiding the products or prices too, let me know and we can think it through.

If it's not too complex, we may be able to provide you with the code for this. To make sure we understand the requirement correctly: is the goal that parent accounts can simply select which categories each subaccount can and can't purchase? Do you also need this for individual products or tags, or are categories enough?

Kind regards,
Stefan
